About Me

Hi!

My name is Miranda Percy and I am a professional portrait photographer and owner of Percy Photography. Est. 2018

I was born & raised in rural northern Minnesota. Thankfully, my parents whole-heartedly supported my immediate passion for creativity. In preschool, when I was asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, I said I just wanted to be an artist and my answer never changed.

I started as a Studio Art major my 1st year of college. I was undecided on what medium I wanted to focus on. I thought maybe I’d be an art teacher. I took my first photography class at Minnesota State University Moorhead. It was a film photography class. It’s my favorite college class I’ve ever taken. I spent a lot of nights in the dark room developing my film. I hope to have my own dark room one day. After taking the class, I decided my major had to be Photography! I especially loved portraits. I transferred colleges and I graduated in 2020 with a diploma in Photography at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN. I live in Fargo now with my husband, Douglas and our pug, Luna.

About Percy Photography

I specialize in portraits, events, and weddings. For all shoots, you choose your location(s), or I can help you choose too. I will travel anywhere.

If you’re interested in a studio session: Studio sessions are my favorite. I have access to a studio space in Fargo, as well as setting up my small studio in my home.

My photography style is modern, personal, and artistic. I apply my unique style in every shoot I do, all while making sure your style and wishes are fulfilled as well.

I consider my business, Percy Photography, to be a safe space to all.
